You think you know your way around (the country)?

This iPhone 3GS *only* game puts you to the test. You will be presented with a set of cities – some local, some national – and you just point your phone to where you think those cities are!

Based on the compass in your iPhone, as well as your current GPS location – you will be scored on how accurate your direction sense was.

Featuring a local leaderboard and a simple way to change users on the fly, this is a great bar/party game!

Release Notes

1.1 (Jan, 2010)

  • Added a new game mode “State Capitals”, which adds a bit of skill by not telling you the state you need to point to.
  • Added a map after each city is guessed, with overlays which show where you pointed, where you should have pointed, and where your phone is currently pointing at (to help you learn your bearings for next time)
  • Cleaned up the user interface a bit

1.0 (Nov 19, 2009)

  • Initial release!

Hints

  1. On the main screen, be sure to tap the “Anonymous” name on top to set your real name. This makes the high score list a lot more useful.
  2. There are certain items (bar tables, computer monitors, …) which create interference and will make the compass reading in your phone inaccurate. For best results, hold the phone level and away from these items.
  3. When you point at a location, give it a second or two before you tap the screen. Sometimes the compass takes a sec to get oriented.
