Just finished up with my first revision to Get Your Bearings, and it’s now in the App Store for approvals.

Added a new State Capital mode, and also changed up the score display A LOT — added a MKMapView, and then threw in overlays that show where you pointed, where you should have pointed, and where you’re currently pointing.

I never thought I would use trig after school, but you’d be amazed how much is needed to draw those lines, arrowheads, etc. Apple could have been nice and had arrowhead endcaps, but they weren’t so nice. I may release that code, because it seems pretty useful and general purpose.

A lot more polish than the 1.0 version… Have fun!

Took a break from QuickCal, and released an iPhone game. It’s a cross between educational and bar game (hrm, that’s odd) – uses the compass in the 3GS and your current GPS location, and sees if you can point your phone to cities around you, and around the United States. I’ve got a product page, and here’s a link to the app on the App store.
